Suzanne Opton’s Soldier presents an unconventional representation of U.S troops who have returned from service in Iraq and Afghanistan. She seeks to reveal the psychological consequences of war through these highly intimate portraits. What these eyes have witnessed we may never know. We are left feeling they have not returned the same as they left.
