Peace Activist and backpacker Scott Parkin was removed from Australia on the 15th of September 2005. This occurred three months before the revised Sedition Laws were passed in the senate. The Australian Government removed Scott on the grounds of his presence being ‘a threat to national security’. Scott has yet to be charged with any crime, and incriminating media reports have since been withdrawn. This article is a personal account of his removal.
